University College Copenhagen has almost 20,000 full-time students and 2000 full-time employees. UCC plays an active role in forming society and in the ongoing renewal of the professions offering programmes based on cutting edge research and the development of best practices.

Most of UCC’s programmes are aimed at the public welfare sector i.e. occupations in the fields of health, elementary school and social work. UCC offers programmes in welfare technology and emergency and risk management. Research conducted in relation to emergency and risk management is diverse, focusing on handling and avoiding risks from a range of different areas.

UCC work in partnership with the Danish Emergency Management Agency, Red Cross Denmark, Save the Children, Danish Refugee Council, DanChurch Aid and several international and local humanitarian aid agencies around the world. In this project, UCC leads on curriculum development.
