Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarmasin

Universitas Lambung Mangkurat is located in North Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. It is the oldest and biggest university in Kalimantan with more than 36,000 students and just over 1,005 lecturers across eleven faculties offering undergraduate, postgraduate, specialist and professional programmes.

The University has three campuses. The main campus is in Kayutangi, Banjarmasin, located ten minutes away from the city centre and 45 minutes from Syamsuddin Noor Airport. This campus hosts the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Faculty of Economic and Business.

The second campus is located in Banjarbaru 15 minutes from the airport hosting the Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Agriculture.

The newest site, Veteran Campus is in Banjarmasin around six kilometres from Kayutangi Campus and accommodates the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry.

The University has a vision to be a leading institutions in the management of wetlands. It is working closely with the Peatland Restoration Agency (Badan Restorasi Gambut, BRG) run by the Indonesian Government. BRG is responsible for protecting peatland from disasters caused by bush and forest fires. The University is supporting the work of the agency with research and technical assistance at local and national level.
