The BUiLD Consortium Welcomes Geoffrey Sallis to the Advisory Board

The BUiLD Consortium is pleased to invite Geoffrey Sallis to Advisory Board.

Geoffrey is a visiting Fellow at the University of Gloucestershire and brings vast professional, academic and international project management expertise to the BUiLD Advisory Board.

Amongst other activities, he gives lectures for final year students in pressurised decision making and on the Civil Emergency and Critical Incident Management Module. He also undertakes research with the Centre for Research in Applied Cognition, Knowledge, Learning and Emotion (CRACKLE), in the Department of Natural and Social Sciences at the University.

Currently he is am working on the FireFront project with, Jutland FD, Copenhagen University College (Denmark), EASS Estonia, IFV (Netherlands), PLOT (Belgium), Insitut de Seguretat Publica de Catalunya (Spain) and University of Gloucestershire (UK) following the award of a Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Previously, Geoffrey worked on the Firemind project with, CNBOP-PIB (Poland), FALCK (Denmark), GFRS (UK), IFV (Netherlands), PLOT (Belgium) and University of Gloucestershire (UK), following the award of a Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. 

As Acting Chief Fire Officer and as Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Geoffrey previously had responsibility for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS), managing both the political and operational dimensions; with a particular focus on emergency response, legal enforcement and the strategic direction for GFRS.
